Understanding Buffalo Springs

What is being proposed?

The agency describes thinning, harvesting, stand improvements, and prescribed fire intended to support forest health and oak-hickory habitat. Read the agency’s explanation alongside community concerns.

Why are neighbors concerned?

Indiana Forest Alliance raises concerns about logging, burning, roads, and potential runoff into the Patoka watershed. Its campaign page explains those concerns and links to supporting documents.
